As this is only the second feature film I've had the pleasure to act in, there are many opportunities for unusual precedents to be set. Last night was one of them. Ne'er before have I had the opportunity to shoot a scene involving a strip club. The Hawthorne Strip here in Portland was kind enough to let us use their fine establishment for a scene in Tandem Hearts. The experience included, but was not limited to, enjoying the show while the rest of the cast and crew arrived, sharing a cramped and dimly lit dressing room with a stripper, trimming my beard in the street, propositioning the girls to be extras and curse out one of the actors in the scene, and of course speckling our production with the color of the average nigh time city folk of Portland who love to scream things at our cameras as they drive/bike/walk by. That's probably as crazy as it got, although we did have a few rounds after we wrapped so maybe Jon went crazy and tried to accost the stripper with the fire coming from her nipples with money. I don't really remember.

About The Film
Tandem Hearts is an independent feature film being produced in Portland, Oregon. The story follows a couple of Portland transplants, Paul and his girlfriend Ramona, as they become increasingly accustomed to the City of Roses and less accustomed to one another.
The film is being written and directed by Jon Garcia, and will be produced with the assistance of a wide array of unemployed and/or generous actors and crew members donating the time a 12% unemployment rate affords the Portland community.
